Who we are.
The Center for Coach Development was founded in 2020 to provide a developmental approach to coach certification and accreditation. Students experience their own self-discovery in ways they never knew were possible. Classes reach into the hearts and minds of students to challenge and support personal and professional growth.
The curriculum revolves around the 8 core competencies of the International Coach Federation (ICF). This program meets and exceeds all the standards for trainings approved by the ICF. Packed with interactive instruction and opportunities for participation, CCD engages students to fully embody a coaching mindset and inspires on-going learning.

Amy Armstrong is an internationally renowned coach and founder of the Center for Coach Development. Amy radiates a deep sense of presence, inspiring others to enjoy the freedom of emotional independence and super-charge their well-being even during times of chaos and crisis. Amy believes that it is possible for everyone to experience the freedom to create and live an authentic life.

The Center for Coach Development integrates the International Coach Federations principles and competencies to prepare coaches for professional careers in work, life and parent coaching. In addition to excellence in coach education, CCD actively promotes coaching as the go-to intervention for positive change for individuals, businesses, communities and families.
The Gold Standard
Amy offers courses at the Center for Coach Development for deeply caring professionals who want to exponentially amplify their income and hone their coaching craft. The Center for Coach Development provides a path to earn accreditation with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) – the global "gold-standard" for coaching. Along with teaching the ICF core competencies, Amy and her faculty share their secrets for staying energized while working effectively in intense and emotionally-charged situations.
Community Leader
Inspired by her own rigorous coach training with the George Mason Leadership Coaching for Organization Well-Being, Amy expanded the field of coaching into the social service arena. She has introduced coaching as a supportive dispute resolution process in a Central Ohio domestic relations court, and also offers private coaching services to parents struggling to co-parent after separation or divorce. Amy’s coaching practice, The Center for Family Resolution, LLC, in Columbus, Ohio, is a recognized community leader and reaches hundreds of families as they struggle with everyday challenges as well as major life and relationship transitions.
Helping Families
Working closely with colleagues, Amy is a past president of the Ohio Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. She collaborates with other professionals to create progressive interventions for court-involved families. Additionally, Amy serves as a Conflict Resolution Coach for the educational resource Robin, serving New York City public school teachers, families and administrators as they build more supportive and compassionate school communities.
